Breathing Light (2011) is an immersive installation which can be either single or multi screen.
The contracting and expanding visual, and the sound of the breath induces the viewers to syncronise their own breathing to the rhythm of the artwork, creating a sense of unity and euphoria. The viewer becomes part of the artwork and the artwork becomes part of the organism of the viewer.
The breath varies in rhythm, from slow and relaxing to a fast-paced anxious breath, alternating the viewer`s experience. The breath fills the void that usually exists as the safe space between the viewer and the artwork, creating a contradicting sensual experience of fulfilling emptiness.
